FROM A SCARF TO A STATEMENT

     Some of my favorite design moments happen when something unexpected and unique becomes art. I recently sourced a vintage Zadig & Voltaire satin scarf, and from the moment I found it, I knew it could be the perfect statement piece!

     It took me a while to make my final decision because there were so many vintage scarves I loved, each with its own story and pattern that caught my eye. When I finally chose this one, the colors felt just right; rich, layered, and timeless.

     To elevate it even further, I had it framed in a brass bamboo frame that ties everything together and makes the yellow tones pop. The subtle sheen of the metal perfectly complements the silk’s texture and adds that touch of polish I always look for in a space.

     And, of course, no piece of art is complete without a little spotlight! I hung a small brass art light above it to cast a warm glow and give it the attention it deserves. It’s such a simple detail, but it transforms the scarf from a found treasure into a true focal point.

     Here is my reminder that art does not always have to start in a gallery; sometimes it is hiding in your vintage finds, waiting to be reimagined!
